各位親愛的家長及同學：

Dear parents and students,

今年起，我們迎來了一個全新的學期，一種似曾相識的感覺在心頭漾起。在半天上學的適應期後，我們很快地過渡到了全日制的課程。然而，開學初期我們就遭遇了颱風的襲擊，接著又是黑色暴雨的警告。不僅山泥滾滾，多處淹水，甚至打破了有史以來的降雨紀錄。之後，又連續發出了一個紅色暴雨警告，這使得我們連續停課了三天。更巧合的是，這些雨天都恰好落在星期五，讓學生們多了兩個長週末。

This September, we welcomed a brand new semester, with a sense of déjà vu in our hearts. After the period of adapting to half-day schooling, we quickly transitioned to full-day curriculum. However, at the beginning of the school year, we encountered a typhoon followed by a black rainstorm warning. Not only did we face landslides and widespread flooding, but we also broke the record for the heaviest rainfall in Hong Kong history. Subsequently, we experienced consecutive red rainstorm warnings, resulting in three consecutive days of class suspension. Literally, these rainy days happened to fall on Fridays, giving our students two long weekends.

九月開學，不單是一年級的學生是新生，各級也多了不少插班生，每天早上，也看見大家開開心心地回校上課，高高興興地回家去。

In September, it wasn't just the P.1 students who were new; we also welcomed many transfer students across all grade levels. Every morning, we saw everyone happily returning to school for classes and going home with joy. We believe that is what Education is.

在九月六日（六），我也參加每年舉辦的幼稚園分享會，這是一個介紹學校的機會，也讓更多的人認識我們的LTY。然而，九月最重要的活動莫過於九月十六日（星期六）在學校舉行的開放日，主題為「德容兼備」。我們希望向大家展示，LTY的學生不僅具有優秀的品德，能夠包容他人，而且學校非常重視學生的品德教育發展，期望每位學生都能容光煥發，笑容滿面。當天有很多幼稚園的家長及學生前來參觀，參加講座和參與各種活動，氣氛十分愉快。最令我驚喜是很多畢業生和曾在LTY工作的老師也回來為我們加油打氣，我深感感激。在開放日前一天，我們也特意為我們同一辦學團體的朱瑞蘭（中、英文）幼稚園舉行一班優先場活動，我們舉行了親子競技比賽，這讓活動更加刺激有趣。同學們、家長們和老師們都全情投入，為自己的隊伍加油打氣。最後，大家帶着依依不捨的心情離開，回到幼稚園去。

On Tuesday, September 6th, I also attended the annual kindergarten sharing session, which provided an opportunity to introduce our school and let more people get to know LTY. However, the most important event in September was the Open Day held at our school on Saturday, September 16th, with the theme "LTY Outside In". We hoped to showcase that LTY students not only possess excellent moral character and the ability to be inclusive. Also, our school places great emphasis on students' moral education and development. We hoped that every student would radiate with confidence and have a smile on their face. Many parents and students from kindergartens visited on that day, attending parents’ talk and participating in various activities, creating a joyful atmosphere. What surprised me the most was that many alumni and former teachers who had worked at LTY also came back to cheer us on, and I deeply appreciated their support. The day before the Open Day, we specifically organized a priority event for the LKWFS Chu Sui Lan Anglo-Chinese Kindergarten, which is part of our same sponsoring body. We held a parent-child sports competition, making the event more exciting and enjoyable. Students, parents, and teachers all wholeheartedly supported their teams with cheers. In the end, everyone left with a reluctant heart, returning to their kindergartens.

新的一年開始了，我們希望同學們不僅在學業上有所進步，還能在生活經驗中獲得豐富的收穫，學習不同的價值觀。為此，學校舉行了服務生就職典禮，鼓勵同學們多為他人服務，透過這個過程學習同理心、堅毅、尊重他人、負責任、承擔精神和關愛等不同的價值觀。其中，升旗隊的成立也有助於提升學生對國家的認同感。我們希望每位服務生都能全心全意地完成自己的任務。另外，在九月二十一日（星期四），我們由傅主任帶領的十位學生與少年警訊各會長以及屯門警區指揮官總警司一同前往屯門兆禧苑，向老友記派發心福袋，同時宣傳防騙訊息。完成任務後，學生們與我分享了這次服務學習的意義和價值。我們由衷地感謝少年警訊的官員們的指導和帶領，使他們更加明白關愛他人的重要性。這次的活動對學生們來說具有特殊的意義，我們深感欣慰。

A new year has begun, and we hope that our students will not only make progress in their academics but also gain enriching experiences in life and learn different values. To achieve this, the school held a student service inauguration ceremony to encourage students to serve others more and learn empathy, perseverance, respect for others, responsibility, commitment, and care for others through the process. The establishment of the flag-raising team also helps enhance students' sense of national identity. We hope that every service student will wholeheartedly fulfill their duties. Additionally, on Thursday, 21st September, ten students led by Director Fu, together with the presidents of the Join Police Call(JPC) and the Commander of the Tuen Mun Police District, went to Tuen Mun Siu Hei Court to distribute "Bags of Blessings" to elderly friends and promote anti-scam messages. After completing the mission, the students shared the significance and value of this service-learning experience with me. We sincerely thank the officers from the JPC for their guidance and leadership, which helped the students better understand the importance of caring for others. This activity held special meaning for the students, and we are deeply gratified.

今年我們再次選擇在九月底進行旅行，旨在提升學生對學校的歸屬感，同時加強班級的凝聚力，促進師生關係。在九月二十八日這個晴朗的日子裏，我們出發了。這次我們到粉嶺浸會園旅行，浸會園設有多種設施，非常方便且安全。高年級同學可以享受燒烤樂，而低年級則需要自備食物。我相信大家都很喜歡在這些不同的設施中遊玩。看到孩子們笑容滿面，我忘卻了辛勞，我只希望我的學生們能擁有一個快樂的童年。

This year, we once again chose to go on a school picnic at the end of September, aiming to enhance students' sense of belonging to the school, strengthen class spirit, and promote teacher-student relationships. On the sunny day of Thursday, 28th September, we set off. This time, we traveled to Fanling Baptist Assembly, which offers various facilities that are convenient and safe. Senior students enjoyed barbecue delights, while junior students needed to bring their own food. I believe everyone enjoyed playing in these different facilities. Seeing the children smiling, I forgot about the exhaustion, and I only hope that my students can have a happy childhood.

今年暑假期間，學校進行了繼續的裝修工程，旨在讓學校變得更加美麗，讓學生們在舒適、快樂和安全的環境中學習和成長。我們很想知道大家對學校現在的環境有何評價？在開放日那天，一些校友們回到學校後不斷找我，他們問為什麼在他們就讀時，LTY沒有這些美麗舒適的設施？他們覺得這是不公平的。我只好邀請他們多回學校，讓大家一起使用這些設施，以彌補他們的遺憾。

During the summer vacation, the school continued with renovation works, aiming to make the school more beautiful and provide students with a comfortable, joyful, and safe learning and growth environment. We are eager to know how everyone evaluates the current environment of the school. On the day of the Open Day, some alumni kept looking for me after returning to the school. They asked why LTY didn't have these beautiful and comfortable facilities when they were studying here. They felt it was unfair. I could only invite them to come back to the school more often and let everyone use these facilities together to make up for their regrets.
